Quebec, CanadaI am a girl manifesting her dream life, living and breathing The Secret and The Magic each and every day!
I want to start by saying a huge thank you to Rhonda, The Secret team, and Dr. Joe Dispenza. I appreciate everyone who shares their stories here! I read them every morning, and they fill me with love, happiness, inspiration, faith, and encouragement. You are all wonderful—thank you!
To keep my story brief, I was working for a large company and eventually went on sick leave due to mental health issues. I never thought I would find myself in that situation, but circumstances arose, and I desperately needed a break. The company was only required to pay for the first two weeks of my leave; the remainder was covered by Quebec’s labor board. My claim was approved, but my company attempted to appeal it. The Board re-evaluated the case and denied the company’s appeal.
Understandably, the company was not pleased with this outcome. A few months later, I received a letter in the mail stating they were bringing the case to court. Throughout this process, I experienced a lot of frustration. I dedicated so much of my time and life to this company over the years. I always helped out, stayed late for overtime, and often worked up to 80 hours a week. It was discouraging to feel like I had given them so much, only to receive such poor treatment when I needed help.
Nonetheless, I had to go through with the process. Court cases can take a long time, and I was advised to wait for more information. As the months went on, I encountered further issues with the company, and I could no longer tolerate it, so I made the decision to quit. Working there was draining me, and I felt miserable. I chose to prioritize my happiness because, honestly, what’s the point of life without it? Remember to choose yourself and your happiness; everything will work out.
In my situation, the court process began with conciliation. If the two parties could not reach an agreement, the case would then go before a judge. Many months passed, and throughout that time, I consistently expressed my gratitude. I thanked the company for the years I worked there and for the great experiences I had. I appreciated the joy it once brought me, the friendships I formed, and the opportunities I received. Even after I quit, I thanked the people representing me since I didn’t have to pay for a lawyer. I expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the process who helped me.
The day before the last conciliation session, the company made its request. They wanted me to revoke my claim with the board so that it wouldn’t be classified as a work-related “injury.” In return, they would assume all financial responsibility, meaning they would cover the Board’s costs for my five months of leave. It was clear they wanted to protect their reputation, especially since several of my coworkers had also gone on leave. I was quite taken aback by this offer. For months, I had been praying for a favorable outcome, and at one point, I thought they might ask me to pay back the two weeks after all, which I would have refused unless mandated by the court.
To my amazement, the offer was much better than I could have anticipated. My representative, while upset that the company waited until the last moment, suggested they should pay me $1,000 for the ordeal. She was incredibly helpful. Ultimately, everything was resolved, and the company agreed to pay me $750. I do not have to go to court; the whole case just disappeared. It turned out to be the easiest process with the best outcome I could have imagined.
Throughout this entire experience, I kept asking the universe for the company to drop the case. This resolution exceeded my expectations. They achieved what they wanted in terms of their reputation. I didn’t have to pay anything, I avoided court, and I received $750 for the stress they caused me. Wow!
Thank you, Universe! I am grateful for the amazing representative who stood her ground and fought for me. What a kind soul.
Thank you to everyone who supported me during this process. And, of course, thank you, Universe, for providing an outcome I couldn’t have envisioned. You made it even better than I thought possible.
Never give up. Express gratitude every day. Embrace and live The Magic. Focus on the good and be thankful for it. Things are unfolding in ways better than you can imagine. Trust, love, and always be grateful. I love you all.
