The Orange Futon
This manifesting story is also related to the house that I bought. Even before I had found a house, I knew that I wanted to turn one of my bedrooms into a library. I knew that I wanted the walls to be dark turquoise and that I wanted to have an orange futon to sit in that could double as a place to sleep for visiting guests. Mind you now, I had never actually seen an orange futon but I knew I wanted one.
As I was in the process of furnishing my house, I happened to accompany my parents to Value Village Furniture. I was 29 years old and by this time in my life, I never went shopping with my parents. The thing is, I had done absolutely no work to find out if an orange futon even existed. And at this point, I was not even in the process of furnishing the library yet.
I was walking down one of the aisles of the store and there it was! My orange futon. Of course I bought it and have used it several times for its intended purpose.
The moral of the story is that you don’t have to do a lot of work to manifest. However, if you have the limiting belief that getting what you want will be hard, then the Universe responds, giving you what you expected. It will be hard. All you have to do is take inspired action, let it go, and then go with the flow.
