Free Bills & Focus Groups
By Ben G
After a friend of mine introduced me to The Secret DVD I was naturally very curious & eager to try out some of the techniques suggested by the teachers. Like most people I wanted to attract more money into my life. So every now & again (not every day I will admit), I envisaged money surrounding me or falling from the sky etc..
Recently I received a bill from the gas company. Seeing the envelope I thought, "Oh it's just another bill, who cares..", but when I opened it there was a letter enclosed saying, that since I had been a good paying customer they were refunding my $100 security deposit from 3 years earlier, & there was a bonus $50 credit on there (which I have no idea where it came from). So not only did I not have to pay anything on this bill, I have a credit left over for my next bill.
The next little gem came in the form of a marketing / consulting firm. Recently I had changed an investment loan from one bank to another. The consulting firm was calling ex-customers from my previous bank to see if we were interested in participating in a phone survey or focus group to determine why we left & that they would pay for our time.
Phone call - $40.00
Focus Group - $80.00
I was initally going to do the focus group, but seeing as it was on my birthday I opted for the phone call instead. Then I got a phone call a day later from the consulting firm saying they were having trouble getting people for the focus group & would I be interested in attending if they offered me $120. At this point I thought the universe is clearly trying to tell me something, so I agreed to do the focus group.
For me this is a clear sign that visualising works & I know that bigger & better things are on the horizon.
About Ben G from Sydney:
Honestly speaking I was a person who used to look at the glass as 1/2 empty instead of 1/2 full. Watching The Secret was definitely a step in the right direction. While I may not be a beaming ray of sunshine all the time, I am definitely on my way to infinite happiness. As Joseph Campbell said, "Follow Your Bliss", & I have EVERY intention of doing that...
