Chasing a dream

I lived in Texas for about 15 years. I liked my life there, but deep down I had a dream. I wanted to move to North Carolina in pursuit of a college degree in the field of Communications. After thinking about the big move for about 8 years, I finally did it. I was here about 2 months and I was really starting to get nervous. I had no job and the little bit of money I had was going quickly. I signed up with a couple of employment agencies with no results.
One night I was watching Oprah and there it was - The Secret. The very next day I went out and bought the book. I couldn't put it down. I had always had faith in God, but this was a whole new thought process. I knew this was the answer. I started using the principles, and boom, I started getting job interviews.
As I was coming back from one of those interviews I checked my mail, and what was in my mailbox but a check for $600 dollars. Money I did not expect, but there it was.
I got offered all 3 jobs I interviewed for, but one really stood out to me. That's the one I took, and I could not be happier.
I have not started school yet, but I have faith that I will next year. I have faith in every part of my life. Any time I start to have negative thoughts I remember that check in the mail.
