Believe and receive

In early June I was let go from a new job for no rhyme or reason. Though I was devastated for being fired, I absolutely hated the new job. I, as well as other staff, were forced to work long hours every day. It was like sitting in detention, and we were not allowed to leave until our boss said it was okay to go home. I was miserable. I had never been in a position like this before, and I knew that I needed to get out of it ASAP. Since there was no just cause for me being fired, I was given a severance package that allowed me to get paid for two months.
The day after I was let go I was introduced to The Secret, and it changed my life. Bob Proctor said to make a list of what you want, and one of the things on my list was to be able to go back to work in September so that I could enjoy a summer off. I hadn't had a summer off since I was 18, and was looking forward to exploring the teachings of The Secret. I truly believed that I would get something new - not only a job, but a true opportunity that would allow me to put my skills to good use. I saw my severance package as a blessing in disguise, because it could allow me to enjoy my summer without financial burden.
I created a memory notebook that had business cards that I had inserted my name into. I also wrote down how happy I was for my new job and all the things that I loved about it.
I am so incredibly happy to report that on September 8 I will begin a new position for a brand new program at a hospital here in NYC. I will be the coordinator of the program. I know that it was my belief and faith in the universe that brought this to me.
I am a true believer, and I make it a point to pull out my gratitude rock every time I begin to doubt or fear anything. We truly are the masters of our lives, and we can create whatever it is we want.
