I am relatively new to the country, and had some hard times in my personal life. I liked my previous job, however I was ready for a new challenge and, of course, a better salary. I strongly believed I would find a job by May 1st - which was only a few weeks away - that would pay over a certain amount of money, and which would mean a substantial raise for me.
Not only did I receive a job offer within the time frame I was hoping, but I was also offered a salary higher than they had offered me initially.
Now I am focusing on my personal life, I know that it will happen.
