Finally a Love that Lasts

My family has always been reserved and controlled a huge portion of my life. There hasn't been a major decision that I have not had their input in. However, by the age of 25, I have continued to feel like a little girl, who just so happens to have a job. After watching The Secret I decided that I was going to look, act, and feel like the adult that I am.
I believe that because I always felt like an insecure girl, I never had meaningful or long lasting relationships. It seemed that I had a trail of men that would never call, or never took me seriously because they wanted to play the field, and I just wanted someone to love and start a family with. I was crushed after each one, because I had built them to standards that they would never meet, all the while secretly I believed that they would all leave.
After watching The Secret I decided to change my life. I looked around my house and noticed that I had a lot of pictures of just me and my family. I knew that was the reason why they were always around and in my personal business as if I was 12. So I decided to leave my family in the family room, and change my bedroom. I painted the walls to something more soothing. The bed changed directions to something more calming. Lastly, I added nature artwork with two wooden sculptures, one was a a couple and the other of a 3-person family. I just hoped that they would work, placed them in my room, and forgot about them.
In June, after a series of horrible dates and a dangerous stalker, I met Justin. We met online, and at first I wasn't interested in a relationship because of what I had mentioned before, but he was persistant, yet gentle and kind.
When I finally met Justin, he introduced me to his entire family. There hasn't been a previous boyfriend that has ever wanted me to meet their family. So I met them and love all of them, and they love me.
Justin and I are now planning on getting married after I move to where he lives. His family is excited that I am joining the family...and so am I.
It is so refreshing to know that there is someone out there for me, when I once believed that I was destined to be alone. I know that The Secret is the reason that I have turned my life around in more that one way. There isn't enough that I can say about this Secret, but I am in its debt forever. And during those hard and tough times, I continue to watch The Secret to lift me up.
