Reflection And Gratitude.
Submitted by: AB
EnglandI'm from England and have been living in Japan for 25 years . Little by little I'm slowly understanding the LOA and The Secret.
Recently I was cheated by a colleague and so called “friend” of a fairly large sum of money. Initially I felt very angry, bitter and nervous. But then I realized I can not change the situation but I can change how I respond to it. Feeling like this was not good for my mental health and it did not solve anything. I remembered the words from a contributor to The Secret movie, Jack Canfield. He said that all successful people take full responsibility for what happens and they never blame others. Thus I reflected on my thoughts. So yes I was cheated, but it was my own fault and my responsibility for getting involved in the deal and it is my responsibility on how I deal with it.
If nothing else I am grateful for the lesson that I have learned from this. There are no good or bad experiences in life, only experiences. It is up to us to see the glass as half full or half empty. I’ve also learned to be grateful for the most basic things. Many people are grateful when big, positive experiences happen but today the sun is shining, I had a good lunch and that is plenty to be grateful about.
