Achieving My Dream Job.
Submitted by: Gombakka
Sri LankaI am a 25 year old fresh graduate. I am an introvert.
I was working at the Apparel sector when I first read “The Secret”. I watched a Hindi movie one day and the heroine was highly optimistic. She carried this book called “The Secret” everywhere she went. After watching the movie I Googled the book’s name.
At first it was quite unbelievable. Somehow reading the book alone brought me joy, so I kept on reading. As the book suggested, I wanted to try The Secret with a cup of coffee. I imagined a cup of coffee with cream. There was no way I was normally having a coffee. I did not have coffee with me and only senior staff could get free coffee in the office. Four days had passed and on the fifth day I was sick. I was feeling bad and was in the sick room. The nurse came to me and asked “Do you need a cup of coffee?”. But I said no. Soon I realized that The Secret had worked, but alas, I had said “no” to it.
I wanted to try it again since the first time was not much of a clear message for me. The Universe made me sick to bring that coffee to me. This time I wanted to join with the academic staff of my university. I requested it. I believed it. I visualized it. We should wear sarees to the office so I practiced wearing a saree. I visualized the phone call I would be getting from the course coordinator requesting me to join there. Also, I quit my job without having any other option. My friends, bosses and my parents were against to it, but I believed in The Secret so much. When they talked negatively I always said “Something good will happen soon, I am very sure”. I spent my days joyfully because I knew that I would receive.
Within 18 days of submitting my resignation letter, I was called to my dream job. I did not feel extra happy because I was always had full belief and was happy during the process. Tomorrow is my first day at my new job. I know now that The Secret is true and I am little bit afraid about what should I ask next. The Secret will manifest anything you request.
